Hunter

Hunter's ideal home
Hunter is a handsome two-year-old who thrives on human company and loves meeting new people! He’s seeking an active family, who will take him on adventures and enjoy keeping him busy with fun training and enrichment. When out on walks, he’s excitable and loves exploring, though he could benefit from some training to improve his loose-lead walking. Due to his size and energy, we feel Hunter would do best in a home with children of secondary-school age, who are confident around bouncy pooches. However, he could possibly have younger visitors if managed carefully by the adults. Hunter is a sociable chap when meeting other canines and could live with another dog of a similar size and temperament to his own, following a successful introduction at our rehoming centre. However, he is not suited for a home with other animals. As a dog who loves human company, Hunter would do best in a multi-person home where he’s not left alone for long periods. With patience, he can work on being left for short durations. A garden would be ideal, so that he could have a regular zoom about off the lead.
Could you be Hunter's perfect match?
If you’re looking for an energetic and loving companion, Hunter could be the perfect match! His favourite pastimes include playing with soft toys, fetching balls, sniffing on long walks, and snuggling on the sofa – where he thinks he’s a lap dog! He’s also very fond of his food and would enjoy eating out of food-based enrichment, such as kongs and snuffle mats. Hunter is new to car travel and will need a gradual introduction to make it a positive experience, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll be excited to explore new places with you.
