About This Dog for Adoption

Coach's ideal home

Meet Coach! He is a stunning boy on the lookout for his forever home! Coach could potentially live with other dogs pending successful meets at the centre, but would be equally happy as the only dog in his new home. He is fully housetrained, but would still appreciate some company during the day as he just loves spending time with his people. Leaving time could be built up once settled. He is strong on lead so will need adopters used to larger breeds or who are fit and able to hold him when out on walks. Coach is a social boy who's previously been around children so could share his new home with dog savvy kids aged 10+ who are comfortable around larger, energetic breeds.

Could you be Coach's perfect match?

Coach is a beautiful 3-year-old Pointer. He is a super friendly boy who is happy to make new friends when out on walks. His favourite activity in the world is a good game of fetch and would love a large, secure garden space where he can run freely. Coach is an active boy who enjoys daily walks, so if you are looking for a new hiking buddy look no further! If you feel you have space on your sofa for this lovable boy, follow the steps below to submit an application and don't forget to "favourite" Coach!

Pointer Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Pointer.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the German Pointer Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
