About This Dog

Blackberry's ideal home

Meet Blackberry, a 2 year old German Pointer who is full of life and energy! Playtime is her favourite, she is happy to play alone, throwing her toys in the air and bounding around after them like a goofball, but loves the chance to play with her people too, she almost always wins a game of tuggy. She is a bit of a snuggle bug, she will check in on you for fusses often and will sometimes climb into your lap and watch the world go by whilst you give her all of your attention. This top bananas pooch is ready to find her new home!

Could you be Blackberry's perfect match?

Blackberry is looking for home with loving and active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She is a friendly girl but does like to get to know people at her own pace, so is looking for a home with older primary school children who can play with her nicely and will give her space to rest and relax when needed. Blackberry is very playful with other dogs, but does read other dogs well, so could live with another dog who will engage in play but will happily let her know when they need a break. This will be pending successful meetings at the centre, although this is not a necessity, she would be happy with playful and friendly walking buddies. Blackberry has a little training under her belt, she loves her food and is eager to engage in training in short, sweet sessions if a tasty treat is on offer. She would like a home with a private, secure garden for her to potter about in at her leisure, although this is not a necessity. Blackberry can settle in the home alone for a few hours, although any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Blackberry will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
